Seatmate

Another reason why i love to have a flight alone is the element of surprise of what kind of people who will be my seatmate
In a two hours flight,i will make new friends and their stories will be forever cherished in my brain
over these years where i've been in a flight alone i've :
met a businessman who gave me his card
had a serious career talk witha couple of business partner in IT
been given Hershey chocolate Kisses by a chocoholic woman
heard the story of wonderful Amsterdam from a grandmother who visit her child and grandchildren there every year
been given two pieces of cake by that grandmother
got a "You have a wonderful name"-compliment by a woman who peeped into my immigration form when i was filled in that form
chatted with a couple of husband and wife who want to have a baby so they do check up in KL
and many others that i remember blurry

Last night,i sat beside a monk
a real monk with a bald head and his caramel colored cloak
I was so mesmerized because the times i saw monk were only on television,Kungfu movie,magazines,and pictures
i would never thought i will see one,only 3 cm away from me
and he ordered a vegetarian food ! oh my god,he is totally a real monk
when the plane landed on the airport,i went to the ladies room first before hitting the immigration check
and he was there
no,he was a she
the monk was a woman
with bald head and caramel colored cloak

Quickie Express

just a quick update since now i'm home

1.My brother got a chicken pox and he's now staying at the hospital and we,all his sisters,are not allowed to see him by our parents since we all haven't got any chicken pox before and we are not immune

2.My mother is already immune,so she stayed at the hospital with my brother all the time,which means i haven't seen her since i landed last night

3.And she brings my Jakarta's cell number,so here i am,lost without cell phone

4.My cat is dead. Our cat is dead,people.
I can't believe no one told me earlier,i'm in deep grieve

5.The new SLR camera apparently is Nikon D40,i'm still new to DSLR and definitely need a tutorial

6.Also in hand are my very first love Colorsplash camera and my friend's SMENA camera,i kinda confused which one should i use

7.Election Campaign is already started in Jakarta,everywhere i look in the city,there always a picture of legislative candidate with corny slogan and awkward pose

8.I kinda miss my friends back there (hi guys,what are you doing this midterm break back there ? please make sure don't go to Genting Highland without me! )

I'm having quiz this Tuesday and it's about new programming language called CLIPS in Expert System Class
it's not as hard as C++,but because i always dozed off on its tutorial classes (or googling for Indonesian TV-Star Gunawan,because one of my classmate looks like him and i want to take a close look between them two) i successfully am falling behind everybody else
so today i start over,learn from the beginning of tutorial 1,reading every line from the textbook
or so the plan
i just had lunch about 2 hours ago and now i already craving something to chew
oh damn you never-satisfied-appetite!
maybe i'll go make Nutrijell jelly first and then study

first of all,really,i've been meaning so hard to stop this Mraz craze and decided to stop talking about him in every post i made
but when i saw this,every cells in my body told me to deliver this to you all,who watch him live in concert this past month :

my bag has arrived and thank god it has because my current college bag(that means a bag that i always bring to classes) is already torn in so many places
College becomes more hectic with quiz and midterm tests and assignments and i hate every bit of it because they made me realize how stupid and unfit I am for this major
i hate every single line of code i had to type in programming classes
I found this line in one of my lecture notes : Programming was not a discipline, more like a hobby or “art form”
oh give me a break
i'm sorry but my hobby is writing nonsense with good grammar or taking sunlight flares pictures while my "art forms" are watercolor drawing and number 3 pencil doodling
if only i could make a living out of it :(

Older Lover Undercover

Life's been such a roller coaster lately
after an amazing weekend night and great concert,Cinderella had to wake up to the reality that she is still a maid
not that i'm a Cinderella or anything (also there was no such thing as concert in her era,considering the fact that the only music was only from her singing along with a bunch of birds and mice),it's just an analogy
but despite being a maid,i woke up facing assignments and midterms exams,or in other word,the real world
but i've started swimming again,and this time,in the morning
and it feels nice
also the fact that i'm waiting for one bag and two clothes to arrive is nice also :)
online shopping is such a money-robbing whore and i wonder why we addicted to it lately
midterm break holiday that will be coming in 10 days is nice also
my little brother gave an offline message on msn yesterday,giving me a link to an online comic,which is a nice story
and there is a conversation between a wife and her photographer husband like this :

Wife : why are you so set on using film ? you can't retake shots on film
Husband : Hmm ? One of the joy of taking pictures is not knowing exactly what kind of photography you're taking
but then you put it in some developing solution and gradually you'll be able to see the pictures
Of course you'll make mistakes too but sometimes you come across something good
something better that you expected

aah,so nice knowing i have one other reason to keep loving films
but the Wednesday's exam is not so nice actually
guess what,too many nice things without even a single suck-ness is a plain boring,yes? *giggle
